Graduate or equivalent, currently involved in the education of health professionals.
This module will enable the student to develop an overview of the theories of learning and insight into how these theories can be used to inform their choice of teaching methods.Through a variety of activities, including key note talks, seminar discussions, small group work and presentations this module will address learning theories and teaching methods in medical education, including but not restricted to problem based learning, workplace based teaching, small group teaching, communication skills teaching and teaching in a clinical environment.Assessment will focus on applying educational theories to their own teaching practice.
