Description for 2024/25

During this third-year module you will learn about the importance of leadership and effective team working in public health provision. You will work together in small groups of 4 - 6 students to plan and evaluate a public health intervention, and will reflect on your own and your team members contribution to this. This will enable you to consider your own strengths, limitations and future employability skills relating to leadership, team working and promoting public health.

Aims
This module will enable students to:
develop knowledge and skills relating to leadership qualities and behaviours
work as part of a team to develop team working skills
evaluate a group project relating to promoting public health (from initial idea to evaluation)
reflect on their own leadership and team working in relation to future employability

1: Reflective Analysis weighted 50%
A 3,000 word reflective analysis with a focus on leadership and teamworking in health promotion,


2: Group Presentation weighted 50%
A 25 minute Group Presentation with a further 5 minutes for questions
