Description for 2024/25

This module will allow students to apply and develop the core knowledge and key skills gained throughout the programme at all levels to an extended research project, and to develop practical research and critical evaluation skills that are used routinely by professional cosmetic scientists.
Students will apply their skills in choosing an appropriate research methodology and techniques, gaining ethical approval for their work where necessary, and will carry out all aspects of data acquisition and collation associated with their chosen research project. The analysis and critical evaluation of the significance of the results obtained during the project will be presented within a full report of the project outcomes and also in a presentation that will be assessed, in part, by their peers, reflecting professional practice.
