You will participate in a series of interactive classes and online activities which examine the theories and methods used to examine gender and sexuality from a psychological perspective. Indicative content may include, for example, inequalities associated with particular identities, barriers for different gender identities and sexualities, stereotypes, specific gender and sexuality community issues and intersectionality. You'll be encouraged and supported to engage in up to date debates and insights, and critically evaluate psychological research and theory in gender and sexuality.
Aims
To introduce students to the psychological perspectives on gender and sexuality-related issues, ideas and theories, and engage students in critical thinking around the impact of such issues.
Intended Learning Outcomes
