This module forms part of the MSc Physiotherapy programme at Keele which is an innovative programme of study which prepares the graduate for clinical practice in changing health and social care settings. The 'Research Proposal' module allows students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in justifying and designing a comprehensive plan for a research project under the guidance of a supervisor.
Aims
To develop students' knowledge and skills in:identifying and formulating a research design to answer a specific research question, including methods of data/information collection and analysis;presenting a scientifically and/or clinically coherent justification for a proposed research project;evaluating the ethical requirements of a proposed research project.
Intended Learning Outcomes

30 tutor led hours which may include lectures, workshops, seminars, tutorials and two hours of assessment preparation classes etc.120 hours of independent study including guided independent study.
