Aims
Students successfully completing this module will be able to evaluate and discuss the anatomy, physiology and pathology of a wide range of body systems of the human body pertinent to the role of Diagnostic Radiographer.The module aims to enable students to gain the necessary knowledge and understanding of the anatomy, physiology and common pathologies of the following systems: urinary; nervous; neuro-endocrine; gastro-intestinal; reproductive, cardio-vascular and immune systems with reference to radiographic practice and image interpretation.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Describe and evaluate the physiology and function of the body¿s organ systems and their function in the maintenance of homeostasis;: 1Outline the consequences of individual organ and systems failure, and describe common pathologies of each organ and system;: 1Discuss and evaluate the rationale for inclusion of routinely used drugs within imaging departments, including the pharmacology, their purpose and contraindications.: 1

Combination of ordered MCQs (20 marks), Short answer questions (40 marks) combining labelling of anatomical diagrams and linking the labelled structures to relevant pathology and long answers labelling of anatomical diagrams and linking the labelled structures to relevant pathology to imaging of that body system (40 marks)
