This module is the clinical placement module for the second year of the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programme, the student will complete assessments in the areas of in Plain Radiography, CT head and theatre Radiography. The students will reflect on their learning experiences in the clinical environment.
Aims
The module aims to enable the student to develop and reflect upon their personal and professional behaviour within a clinical setting and modify appropriately behaviours and techniques in light of their learning with adequate supervision for a level 5 student. With the support of Practice Educators, the student will develop radiographic knowledge and skills in a relevant external setting to include General Radiography, Theatre Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT). Focusing specifically on adaptive technique, Computed Tomography Head scans and Fluoroscopy imaging within the assessment structure and undertaking these examinations using evidence-based practice and appropriate radiographic interventions. Interprofessional education will also be covered.
