Resources for worship at home
If you are unable to join others for worship in person, there are many ways in which you can participate in worship at home. Here are just a few places you might start:
Resources from Keele Chapel:
- Our TEN:15 service is usually livestreamed in term-time - you will find the link each week on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
- During 2020 and 2021 we shared a lot of our services on our YouTube channel - you can still find them and other resources there.
Resources and worship from our partner denominations:
- Mass is regularly livestreamed from churches all over the world, so you can usually find a service starting soon.
- The Church of England publishes liturgy for daily prayers and services, and there is a short prayer every day that you can read or listen to.
- There are resources from the Baptist Church for prayer and worship at home.
- The Methodist Church's morning prayer is available each day. They also livestream worship from Wesley’s Chapel in London – you can watch past services there or join in live at the times listed on their channel.
- You can listen to Daily Devotions from the United Reformed Church.
Other Resources:
- The brothers of the Taize community often livestream their services on their Facebook page – you can watch live or see previous services at any time.
- The Student Christian Movement (SCM) have a host of resources for prayer, for Bible Study and for personal devotions.
- A daily Bible reflection – they are a series but each one stands alone so you can dip in and out if you prefer.
- Liturgies for daily prayers with the Northumbria Community.
- Some engaging sermons from a Lutheran church in Denver.
- There are playlists of hymns and worship songs on YouTube – some of the contemporary composers that feature at TEN:15 include Keith and Kristyn Getty, Stuart Townend and Rend Collective. If you prefer more traditional hymns there are some with lyrics here and here.
- There are some links to songs for times of tragedy or fear on this site, and lots of further resources here.
