Subject-specific entry requirements

Please find our subject-specific entry requirements below. To find out which courses have places available in Clearing, please see our current vacancies page

For many of our courses, we are interested in a broad range of qualities, not just your points on entry. We would like to learn more about you, your interests, experience and motivation to study. Whilst we may not always be able to offer you your first choice, we can talk to you about other options and maybe introduce you to some courses you haven't considered before.

For many of our courses we are looking for 64 - 96 UCAS tariff points from at least two A Levels or equivalent. Please note some of our courses have subject specific requirements (normally our Science and Health degrees) - subject specific requirements are detailed in the table below.

If you do not meet our entry requirements for our undergraduate degrees, you may be interested in one of our Foundation Year programmes. Entry requirements for our Foundation Years start from 32 UCAS Tariff points. However, we will also consider applicants who may not have traditional academic qualifications but have work experience or vocational qualifications. Whether you have just received your results or wish to return to study, you can call us on 01782 491120 to discuss the Foundation Year options available to you.

INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Our international English Language requirements are normally IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in all components (for equivalencies see Group A) . However for some of our courses, the English Language requirement is higher, e.g. Law, Paramedic Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiotherapy, Midwifery, Nursing (all routes) and Speech and Language Therapy please see our subject specific table for the English Groupings.

All Law courses 64 points, GCSE English Language grade 4/C or Group B and Speech and Language Therapy 104 points, GCSE English Language grade 4/C or Group F.
