Staff are invited to take part in an upcoming expo at Keele where businesses, students, and researchers will get together to discuss the future of healthcare technology, and how Staffordshire businesses can get involved.

Postgraduate students at Keele University developing the next generations of medical technologies will be showcasing their work at the upcoming Keele Clinical, Medical, and Engineering Technologies Symposium, between 19 and 20 August.

The free two-day conference, organised by the Biomechanics and Orthopedics Research Group led by Peter Ogrodnik and Nick Wragg, will be held in Innovation Centre 7 on Keele’s Science and Innovation Park, with a range of talks, presentations, and networking opportunities.

Peter Ogrodnik, Senior Lecturer in Medical Devices Design, said: “Links to industry and wider facilitators is key to translating research to where it is needed. This can be identifying partners for new research, or engaging interest or investment along a development pathway. The symposium aims to showcase Keele's expansive research portfolio in the many interlinked fields within this area and demonstrate the skills of our students.”

The two-day itinerary will consist of a showcase where postgraduate students will present their projects and proposals on day one and a broader research conference on day two. Prizes are available for Posters and Oral Presentations.

Keele staff working in areas such as placement provision, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement are invited to take part in the expo.
