Library and resources
The David Bruce Centre American Studies Library is a reference library which has now been catalogued and is available online.
The library's holdings include numerous secondary works relating to the Civil War-era United States, the New Deal era, and modern foreign policy. Among its primary materials are sources covering the Civil War and New Deal eras, and a range of twentieth-century congressional documents.
The David Bruce Centre consists of a large seminar room (CBB1.030). The fortnightly Bruce Centre Seminars and postgraduate courses are held in our seminar room, which also houses the DBC Library.
Researchers wishing to use any of the resources should contact Dr James Peacock to arrange a visit.
Keele University Library houses a wide range of primary and secondary sources in the field of American Studies, including holdings of US government documents and congressional committee hearings, and a modern poetry collection.
