Funding boost for student and graduate businesses at Keele University
Current students and graduates of Keele University can apply for a grant to support their business venture this summer, thanks to funding from Santander Universities.
Applications are being invited from enterprising students or graduates who have a start-up business, social enterprise, community project, environmental initiative, or are self-employed or have a skill that could be turned into freelance income. As long as you’re aiming to be financially sustainable, you can apply.
Grants range from approximately £300-3000 depending on the stage of development, need, and time to be committed to the project.
Successful applicants will receive the cash grant from our partner Santander Universities, and support from the University to give them the very best chance of success.
We recognise the particularly challenging situation for our students and graduates at the moment, so, thanks to our partner Santander Universities, we have been able to launch additional funding to support enterprising students and graduates.
Any students or graduates interested in applying can contact our Entrepreneurship Team in advance of their application, by following the details found on the application form, which can be found here: Application Form.
Will Pritchard, Entrepreneur in Residence at Keele University comments:
“This is a really exciting opportunity, both for those who are already running something and those who want to be.
“It's a challenging time, but as well as this being the biggest single student and graduate enterprise fund we've been able to offer, it comes with expert support and guidance to help successful applicants stand the best chance of success.”
