Earth Stories Film Festival

Young filmmakers up to the age of 25 from around the world are being invited to submit their work for this award winning, international film festival, founded and run by students and staff at Keele.

The Earth Stories Film Festival will be taking place on the 27th March 2025, at the Mitchell Arts Centre, Hanley. All will be welcome to join us in celebrating environmental filmmaking. We will be screening a range of the 2025 nominations and announcing this year's award winners.

Earth Stories is a Keele University based environmental film festival aimed at young filmmakers up to the age of 25. The festival is a student-led initiative that provides a platform for students and young filmmakers from across the world to showcase their filmmaking talent. The event is managed by students from across the university and supported by staff from across academic disciplines. The festival will present new and inspirational stories addressing the climate crisis, nature's degradation, and highlight pathways for sustainable futures through human-nature reconnections. This festival was originally funded by former Keele University students through the Alumni Keele Key Fund.
