Interdisciplinarity
We take a holistic approach to tackle global health problems by promoting and integrating work from relevant disciplines.
Sustainable impact
We ensure that our work brings positive change for improving the health and wellbeing of the underserved communities across the globe.
Creativity and innovation
We aim to develop innovative strategies to tackle global health issues through the development and utilisation of creative research methodologies and innovative and sustainable technologies.
Capacity building
We aim to strengthen research capacity by training, supporting, and mentoring the next generations of researchers and by working with partners to improve facilities and infrastructure for global health research.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI)
We take an EDI lens to all aspects of work on global health and wellbeing. We support people from diverse backgrounds in our capacity building activities and we conduct research that directly addresses inequalities across the globe.
Community engagement and involvement
We encourage and support studies that actively involve community members and key stakeholders at all stages of the research process, from project conception to dissemination of findings, using the principle of “no research about us without us”.
Responsive to emerging needs
We aim to respond rapidly to emerging global challenges and healthcare needs through our research.
Integrity
We maintain the highest standards of research integrity and ethics to underpin our global health and wellbeing research.
