Connor Ellison
Connor grew up in New Zealand before graduating from Aberystwyth University with a BSc in Microbiology in 2018 and an MSc from Keele University in Biomedical Blood Science in 2019. During his MSc, Connor developed a keen interest in the carbohydrate and clinical anticoagulant heparin, and its potential in mitigating infection from various infectious diseases. Connor is now completing his PhD, investigating heparin-like molecules sources from a variety of mammalian and non-mammalian tissue and modifying commercially available compounds to then investigate their interactions with infectious diseases.
