Welcome to General Practice Education
At Keele, we are passionate about primary care education and our General Practice placements enable our students to develop as clinicians across their undergraduate training.
Our medical students are given placements in General Practice during every year of their training. These begin with remote sessions where students learn and develop their history taking skills, and progress to students seeing patients in practice with the support of a GP tutor, where they can apply medical knowledge gained across the whole scope of their training. There are also a variety of other primary care related learning opportunities which help to enhance our students’ learning.
We take pride in watching our students grow into excellent clinicians and are immensely grateful to our team of GP tutors who play a pivotal role in their development.
