Dr Fiona Hay
Dr Hay has worked for Keele for over 10 years and as a Senior Lecturer is currently responsible for the Year 5 GP Assistantship, GP Placements, the PSA exam and the Shropshire patch.
She also enjoys teaching and lecturing on topics that include Medical Uncertainty, Grief and Bereavement, Ethics and Women’s health. Having been a GP partner for almost 25 years in Shropshire, she has a sound first-hand knowledge of our Shropshire patch and the GP colleagues that work there.
Outside of undergraduate education and clinical practice, Dr Hay also enjoys appraising GPs and mentoring for the RCGP. She is also a lead examiner for the RCGP SCA exam. She has over the last 18 months established an innovative post at Keele for ST2 trainees to experience a taster of medical education.
Her current interests are focused on placement capacity and new ways of curriculum delivery together with near peer teaching.
