Keele to launch new nursing programmes with support funding available
Keele University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery have announced three new full-time postgraduate nursing programmes starting in April 2021.
The two-year programmes in Children’s Nursing, Learning Disability Nursing and Mental Health Nursing will join the School’s well-established MSc Adult Nursing course.
All four programmes meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for pre-registration nursing education, and £5,000 per year of non-repayable financial support is available across the accelerated programmes thanks to the NHS Learning Support Fund.
Head of Keele’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr Patricia Owen said: “I am delighted to be able to offer this fast-track approach to becoming a qualified nurse in all fields of nursing.
“We have worked with our local clinical partners to develop these programmes and it will be great in 2 years' time to have qualified nurses in adult, child, learning disability and mental health fields with their Master's degree, ready to work in our local health economy."
