Keele University invites students to attend virtual open day
Keele University is to host its first virtual open day of 2020 on Saturday 20 June, giving prospective students the opportunity to tour the University from the comfort of their own home.
With potential future students unable to visit the Keele campus in Staffordshire, they will instead be offered the chance to explore their options online.
Keele will be hosting its first virtual open day to offer students looking to start university in 2021 the opportunity to find out about the array of courses on offer, speak with academic and support staff, and view the Keele campus.
The online event, aimed at undergraduate starters, will include an immersive interactive 360° tour of Keele’s 600 acre campus, a chance to ask questions of current students and academic staff, and an opportunity to take a look at on-campus accommodation and chat with the accommodation team.
Students will also be able to watch subject-specific webinars delivered by academics, access information on specific subject areas, including video content and the opportunity to seek advice from the admissions team through an online chat.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Trevor McMillan said: “We understand that open days play a large role for individuals when deciding what university to attend. This is why we wanted to provide prospective students with the opportunity to experience Keele University but from the safety of their homes.
“We hope that the online event will provide potential students with a taste of what it is like to study at Keele by being able to speak to our friendly staff and students and find out more about the courses on offer, the accommodation and the wider student experience.”
The virtual open day will go live on Saturday 20 June at 9am. To register for the day please visit keele.ac.uk/virtualopenday
