Radiography at Keele climbs into UK Top 10 in Complete University Guide
Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) at Keele University has been ranked among the Top 10 in the UK in this year’s Complete University Guide, climbing four places from last year.
The Complete University Guide ranks UK universities in 74 different subject areas. The subject tables are based on measures including Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, and Graduate Prospects, and include 143 universities, university colleges, and specialist higher education institutions.
Radiography at Keele has performed strongly in this year’s ranking with impressive scores for both the student satisfaction and research quality categories.
The course at Keele is accredited by the British Society and College of Radiographers and approved by the UK Health and Care Professions Council. Students learn about the core themes of the profession including radiographic science and practice, the human body, interpreting images, inter-professional learning, and research.
Like all healthcare courses at Keele, Radiography students benefit from strong links with NHS and industry partners for teaching and clinical placements. The School also makes use of excellent clinical facilities on campus including an x-ray suite, a digital health hub with high-resolution screens for image interpretation, an image intensifier for use in theatre work and simulated phantom patients to hone their practical imaging skills.
Anne O’Brien, Head of the School of Allied Health Professions at Keele said: “I am delighted the innovation and excellence of our Keele Radiography programme and academic team has been recognised by both the sector and our students.”
