Mohamed Dafaalla is a cardiology registrar at the  West Midland deanery who joined Keele cardiovascular research group as an academic clinical fellow in 2020. He is currently a PhD fellow at Keele University. He uses nationally linked clinical registries to study outcomes of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). As an academic clinical fellow, he studied outcomes of AMI patients presenting with out of hospital cardiac arrest. He was awarded the Terumo research fellowship to complete a PhD at Keele university. His PhD focuses on assessment of clinical outcomes of AMI in cancer patients.
