Muhammad Rashid
I am academic interventional cardiologist, Honorary Senior Lecturer at Keele University.
My research to date has incorporated the efficient use of routinely collected electronic healthcare record data derived from national cardiovascular procedure/disease-based registries to deliver population-based studies on cardiovascular quality of care and clinical outcomes. This includes using linkages across multiple datasets for comparing treatments, complications, outcomes capture and big data linkage to better understand disease interactions and comorbidity.
I have extensive experience data science, mentoring and supervising medical students academic and research fellows. I am associate editor for European Heart Journal-Quality of Care and Clinical Outcomes, and member of Data Monitoring Group for British Cardiovascular Intervention Society.
