Nicholas Weight

Nicholas Weight

I am a NIHR funded academic clinical fellow in cardiology, currently spending 75% of my time clinically as a cardiology registrar at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, and 25% of my time for research as part of the Keele Cardiovascular Research Group under the supervision of Professor Mamas.

Current interests

My current research theme is using large UK-based heart attack registries (such as MINAP) in order investigate disparities in access to good quality care and mortality, particularly looking at regional and socioeconomic disparity. I am also working on a range of projects looking at the long-term survival of heart-attack patients with a range of comorbidities.
