Media Studies at Keele climbs into UK Top 10 in NSS 2024
Film and Media Studies at Keele have been ranked among the best in the country for student positivity, according to the latest National Student Survey (NSS).
Students ranked Keele’s Film and Media Studies 6th in the UK, climbing up into the UK Top 10 from 11th position last year. Students scored the course exceptionally well for the level of academic support on offer, with a score of 97%.
The annual National Student Survey is one of the largest exercises of its kind in the world, with almost 346,000 final year students in the UK taking time to answer questions on their university experience. The 2024 edition of the survey posed 26 core questions on issues including academic experience, teaching and assessments, and well-being services.
Head of the School of Humanities, Professor Nicholas Seager, said: “The academic, technical, and administrative staff in Film and Media Studies are committed to the success of their students, both now and in their lives after Keele. The programmes blend analysis of film and media with practical work, and students have opportunities to work in industry too, and it is great to hear that they love the course, as well as the social events we run such as quiz nights and board games events.”
Seven other subjects at Keele secured top 10 rankings in the survey, including Geography, Human Resource Management, and Mathematics.
