IT Training
There is a variety of digital services available to support your professional and personal development.
Please contact the IDS Training Team if you need further support at: ids.training@keele.ac.uk.
DigitalKeele
DigitalKeele is our programme to help every student and every colleague at Keele to develop the skills to succeed in our information-rich digital environment. There are online guides, training opportunities, and resources to help you to understand your own digital and information literacy, and to help to develop your confidence in assessing risks and opportunities and in using digital tools.
Developed in partnership between Information & Digital Services, Organisational Development, and the Keele Institute for Innovation & Teaching Excellence, DigitalKeele is designed to empower our Keele community to do more in the digital environment.
The Eight Elements of DigitalKeele
DigitalKeele has been divided into eight digital elements to help you develop your digital literacy, in conjunction with the tools available.
My Skills Progress
My Skills Progress is an app that was developed in-house, which allows you to assess your strengths and weaknesses in the digital world. It provides the opportunity to develop your digital skills in a way that suits you.
You can get started at any time by logging into the app. We recommend completing the self-evaluation first for a more tailored approach, or you can browse through the learning resources.
LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning provides access to training on a huge variety of topics to support your personal and professional development.
Completing courses inside LinkedIn Learning allows you to receive certifications, which you can present on your profile in LinkedIn, if you wish to.
To access LinkedIn Learning for free, please log in using your Keele email address. If you haven't logged in before, please see more information on the How to access LinkedIn Learning for the first time web page.
IDS Training Hub
Students and staff all have access to the above resources. In addition to this, the IDS Training Hub contains all the training available from Information and Digital Services (IDS)—which encompasses IT and the Libraries—that is aimed at Keele staff. It includes a calendar of upcoming training events.
