Professor Helen O'Sullivan appointed to Advance HE board
Keele University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Helen O’Sullivan, has been appointed to the board of Advance HE.
Advance HE supports universities in putting institutional strategy into practice for the benefit of students, staff and society.
Professor O’Sullivan is one of six new board members who will develop Advance HE’s strategy, focusing on supporting institutions in delivering world-leading teaching, research and scholarship, civic mission and student outcomes in higher education.
Commenting on her appointment to the board, Professor O’Sullivan said,
“I am really pleased to have been appointed to the Advance HE Board. I worked closely with one of the Higher Education Academy before the merger and I am looking forward to seeing how I can contribute to shaping the future direction of Advance HE’s work.”
As Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor O’Sullivan takes strategic leadership for education at Keele, and is currently interested in the concept of social learning as well as expanding the Keele community through developing flexible, online and transnational education.
Professor O’Sullivan’s other external activities include membership of UUK International’s Global TNE Advisory Board and of Jisc’s Horizons Group.
