KIITE Director appointed to Advance HE Strategy Advisory Group
Dr Rafe Hallett, Director of the Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence, has been appointed to the AdvanceHE Learning and Teaching Strategy Advisory Group.
The group, made up of 12 individuals drawn from AdvanceHE member institutions, is chaired by Professor Kathy Armour, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) at the University of Birmingham, and feeds into AdvanceHE’s ‘transformation strategy.’
The advisory group will help to identify current and emerging strategic teaching and learning challenges and opportunities across the higher education sector, and will also offer advice and guidance to Advance HE’s priority and operational plans. The group acts as a set of critical friends and education experts to help position AdvanceHE’s strategic offer of services to HEIs at a global level.
Commenting on his appointment to the group, Rafe said:
“I’m delighted to be joining colleagues from across the sector in contributing to this important group. We will act as honest, critical commentators on AdvanceHE’s transformation strategy, with a particular eye in its agility of service in times of volatility and changing need. One of my particular interests is the way AdvanceHE might better deploy its powerful community of senior, principal and national teaching fellows to shape educational development, nationally and internationally.”
