The Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) is delighted to announce that eight innovative education projects have been awarded funding in the 2020/21 Teaching Innovation Projects Scheme (TIPS).

There are three projects in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, two in the Faculty of Natural Sciences, two in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and one inter-faculty project led by members of staff in KIITE, alongside student collaborators.

TIPS offers colleagues the opportunity to gain funding to develop and evaluate their learning and teaching. Over the past 20 years, TIPS has funded over 170 projects, exploring innovative approaches to learning, teaching and assessment, with many projects leading to further impact and funding bids.

Dr Rafe Hallett, Director of KIITE and Chair of the TIPS panel, commented:

“It was particularly refreshing to read the successful applications this year, since the innovative ideas were underscored by a commitment to access, participation and student success. Our TIPS award holders will work closely with the KIITE APP Fellows as their projects unfold, developing concrete interventions in curriculum design and co-curricular provision.”
