Issue 12 of the Journal of Academic Development and Education (JADE) Published
The Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) is delighted to announce that the twelfth issue of The Journal of Academic Development and Education (JADE) has now been published.
We are extremely privileged at Keele University to have developed such a rigorous journal that reaches an internal and external audience, and develops significant prestige in relation to academic development, and learning and teaching.
JADE publishes articles, case-studies, papers, reviews, teaching tips, letters to the editors, interviews and student submissions (with a staff sponsor). Published once a year, each issue of JADE features an editorial, a broad selection of submitted research / articles, and a final section called 'Highlights' which showcases brand new innovations.
This twelfth issue welcomes Dr Will Foster (Keele Business School) and Georgina Spencer (KIITE) as the incoming journal editors.
Will comments:
"It was Heraclitus of Ephesus, the Greek philosopher of c500BC who said “The only constant in life is change” and when teaching leadership I often add “and the variable is the rate of change and it’s accelerating”. We have all experienced enforced changes to our life this year, changes to our work life, our home life, our teaching practice and it is testament to the hard work and determination of colleagues in our profession that rapid and significant adaptation has happened. I am immensely proud to be incoming co-editor of Jade and would like to thank contributors. I hope you enjoy reading this edition and that it will inspire you in your practice and perhaps to send in an article of your own for the next edition"
Looking to the future, the journal welcomes the opportunity for you to showcase your work or collaborate in joining the team as a reviewer.
If you have content you would like to include for future editions or you would like to work on the review process, please do contact jade@keele.ac.uk
