Two Keele students have been recognised in the Digital Culture Awards for their Sounds of the Forest project.

Wild Rumpus CIC worked with Keele students Joash Abejide, via the OfS Student Knowledge Exchange Project and Rebekah Stevenson, via the Santander internship scheme to build digital capacities for their Sounds of The Forest project. The project collected the sounds of woodlands and forests from all around the world, creating a growing sound map - offering meditation for many and an inspiration for art and music for others. This project has now been shortlisted in the Digital Storytelling category as part of the Digital Culture Awards 2021. The Awards, from Arts Council England’s Digital Culture Network, celebrate tech innovation in arts and culture. The awards are a chance to showcase and recognise the best in digital transformation, digital engagement and use of technology.

The winner will be decided by a public vote. You can vote for the Sounds of the Forest project via the Digital Culture Network webpages here.
