The Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) is delighted to announce that seven innovative education projects have been awarded funding in the 2021/22 Teaching Innovation Projects Scheme (TIPS).

There are four projects in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, one project in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, one in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and one inter-faculty project.

TIPS offers colleagues the opportunity to gain funding to develop and evaluate their learning and teaching. Over the past 21 years, TIPS has funded over 170 projects, exploring innovative approaches to learning, teaching and assessment, with many projects leading to further impact and funding bids.

Professor Rafe Hallett, Director of KIITE and Chair of the TIPS panel, commented:

“It was very rewarding to read the successful applications this year, since the innovative ideas help preserve many of the advances and teaching techniques we have made during the pandemic shift to digital and hybrid delivery. Our TIPS award holders will also contribute to access and participation interventions as their projects unfold, developing measures in curriculum design and co-curricular provision to support students.”
