Divorce Clinic

Our Divorce Clinic is supervised by Catherine Edwards. Within this clinic students will meet clients and advise on eligibility to divorce, and continue to help them navigate the various court forms required.

You will research the law, draft divorce proceedings, court documents, and gain real life experience of helping clients at a difficult time in their lives. You will be responsible for keeping the client updated throughout the proceedings. Learning in a safe supervised environment.

Our Divorce Clinic operates on an appointment only basis. All clients are triaged when they first contact the clinic and if their matter falls within the remit of the clinic Rebecca Dennis-Benn – Legal Advice Clinic Coordinator will contact available students to arrange an initial meeting with the client. This is usually via MS Teams but can be face to face if requested by the client.

Students volunteering for this clinic should be available for 4 hours per week to meet with clients, research or work on client advice/documents.
