Scope: The conferment of personal chairs and readerships.
Constitution
The Committee will have regard for the promotion of equality and diversity and will ensure equality of opportunity in the way it conducts itself and in the transaction of its business.
Vice Chancellor (in the chair)
Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research)
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education)
Two professors from each Faculty, to include the Executive Dean if of professorial status (appointed by the Senate) (6)

Where the Committee does not have a member with EDI expertise, an additional member of the Committee may be appointed.
At the second stage consideration, 2 external professors will be invited to join the Committee, one with an E&S background and one with an E&R background.
