Library resource spotlight: Lawtel
Introducing Lawtel!
Lawtel is an online legal information provider offering access to both UK and EU case law, legislation, and articles. You can create and manage alerts as well as search current awareness for the most recently added content including the best of the last 5 days as well as get daily updates on cases, permissions to appeal, pending actions, and daily cause lists!
There’s also access to a collection of Westlaw books within Lawtel, including the 9th edition of the CIPA guide to the Patents Act, Palmer’s Company Law, and Woodfall: Landlord and Tenant, as well as a searchable index of legal terms, which includes definitions and dictionaries, such as Jowitt’s Dictionary of English Law and Osborn’s Concise Law Dictionary, where results can be filtered by content type and all content is interlinked and cross-referenced!
For access, if you are asked to sign in, please choose ‘access through academic institution’. Registration for a OnePass account will be required the first time you access this resource – please only register using your Keele email address.
Lawtel can also be accessed via the library’s A-Z online resources, and there are user guides to help you getting started using Lawtel and all its features as well as logging in too!
