Welcome to your Library: how to use Library Search
A warm welcome to our new and returning students to the 2024/2025 academic year!
Library Search is the one-stop search for your library, where you can search our catalogue for books, ebooks , journals, articles, and online databases. You can also search the health libraries’ journals and discover our curated collections too!
Library Search is also where you request items, see your current loans and loan history, and any library charges too (you will need to sign-in to library search to use these functions and to get the most out of our resources).
You can browse Library Search by subject, author, title or Library of Congress call numbers, whilst the advanced search functionality allows you to filter your search by key words, material type and language.
The catalogue can be searched to include everything, which will contain results from almost all of the library’s resources, whilst the search books and more option will contain results from books, ebooks, journal titles and theses, and the search articles and more option will contain results from online articles from peer reviewed journals, industry journals, newspapers and other full-text resources.
You can learn more about how to use Library Search by visiting our Library Search... in a Nutshell module and checking out our ... In a Nutshell workshops!
If you need an item for your study or research that is not currently in our catalogue, you can check out our resource-sharing service that is available to Keele staff and students!
