Welcome to your Library: how to borrow and return items
A warm welcome to our new and returning students to the 2024/2025 academic year!
Did you know that your Keele card is also your library card? You will need it to borrow items from both the campus and health libraries!
Keele staff and students can borrow up to 30 items and items can be loaned via the self-service machines in both the campus and health libraries. Most items will automatically renew unless they have been requested by another user, but don’t worry, we will email your Keele email account if this happens, and you need to return the item to the library.
You can also return items via the self-service machines and there’s a 24 hour drop box to the left of the campus library building for any returns outside of opening hours.
You can request items by placing requests using the search facility on Library Search and we will email you once the item is ready for collection. You can choose to collect your request at either the Campus Library or Health Library. The request shelves at campus library are at the back of the middle floor but don’t forget to check out any requested items before leaving the library!
There’s also 36 laptops available for day loans at the campus library, which are located in lockers near to the self-service machines. These laptops have a maximum charge of eight hours, and you will need your Keele card to borrow and return them.
Check out the borrowing pages for further information on borrowing at both the campus and health libraries, and you can always approach our friendly staff if you need any help too!
