Local Collection
A collection of around 5,000 books, plus pamphlets, newspapers, periodicals and directories, devoted to the history of mainly Staffordshire, but also covering Cheshire, Derbyshire and Shropshire. Features worth noting include a complete run of the Staffordshire Advertiser on microfilm (1795-1973), the North Staffordshire Journal of Field Studies, the Collections for a History of Staffordshire, the Pottery Gazette and the transcriptions of parish registers published by the Staffordshire Parish Registers Society. There are also a number of first and early Arnold Bennett editions.
The Local Collection can be searched on the Library catalogue Library Search and most items are available for loan to Keele registered users. External visitors wishing to consult the collection should make an advance appointment by contacting special.collections@keele.ac.uk.
