Biography

My work focuses on mechanotransduction and auditory decline using insects. My current models are the desert locust, fruit flies and mosquitoes. I have a strong background in electrophysiology but I also use a range of other approaches including: Doppler lasers to understand the biophysics of insect sound receivers, Confocal and EM microscopy to visualise insect auditory organs, RNA Sequencing including single nuclei RNA Sequencing.
