Biography

After graduating from Keele University in 2013 in Geology and History, I went on to complete an MSc in Geoscience from University College London in 2014 and a PGC in Museum and Heritage Management from Nottingham Trent University in 2016.

I then worked within the museum and heritage sector for 3 years before moving to a role at the Environment Agency, where I utilised my geological background, within a regional Groundwater and Contaminated Land team.

In 2024 I began my PhD at Keele University within the newly established Sustainable Rural Futures (SURF) research group. My project is looking at small scale ‘artisan’ quarrying in the UK and the connections with local communities and heritage conservation.
