Biography

Trevor joined the Galizi lab in 2024 as a postdoctoral research associate to support its bioinformatic research. After evaluating molecular tools to improve malaria control in West Africa for his PhD in tropical medicine from Tulane University, Trevor has continued to hone his interest in gene regulation for malaria transmission as a postdoc by researching noncoding RNAs in the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum at the University of California, Riverside and more recently focusing on regulatory elements of the African malaria vector Anopheles gambiae. When not working to help end malaria, you will likely find Trevor exploring culture and nature by traveling abroad and adventuring outdoors.
