Biography

Rose joined Keele as a Research Associate working within the Impact Accelerator Unit in 2024. After completing a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of East Anglia, Rose undertook a PhD in Social Work. Her doctoral work explored the lived experience of older men in prison using grounded theory. Following this, Rose took on a post-doctoral research position at the University of Manchester in the Division of Psychology and Mental Health. In this role, Rose conducted qualitative work as part of a process evaluation of a clinical trial testing a therapeutic intervention aimed at preventing suicide in prison.

Research and scholarship

In Rose’s current role she works on a range of applied health and social care research projects. Her primary interests include research with marginalised, vulnerable and/or underserved groups, and particularly their experiences of services and the care they receive. She is also interested in qualitative methodologies, public involvement, and implementation science and knowledge mobilisation.
