Biography
Dr. Suzanne Nasser is a passionate lecturer in Pharmacology who joined the School of Medicine at Keele University in September 2022.
Dr. Nasser began her academic journey after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Beirut Arab University in 2000, graduating with distinction. Her deep passion for pharmacology led her to become a pharmacology laboratory instructor within the Faculty of Pharmacy, marking the beginning of her illustrious career. She further pursued her education, completing her Master's degree in 2007 and her PhD in Pharmacology in 2014, both at Beirut Arab University. In 2014, she was promoted to the position of assistant professor of Pharmacology within the Faculty of Pharmacy in the same university. Her remarkable academic journey was marked by excellence and dedication.
Beyond her academic accomplishments, Dr. Nasser has amassed nine years of invaluable experience in community pharmacy settings in Beirut. During this period, her sincere commitment to counseling patients and her dedication to providing expert pharmaceutical care have earned her the trust and gratitude of countless patients, reinforcing the vital role pharmacists play in healthcare.
She is a member of the Order of Pharmacists in Lebanon (OPL), Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), British Pharmacological Society (BPS), and the Association for the Study of Medical Education (AMEE). She is also a fellow of the Advance Higher Education (HEA).
Dr. Nasser embodies the qualities of a passionate educator, a dedicated researcher, and a compassionate healthcare provider. Her contributions to academia, research, and the community reflect her unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge, improving healthcare, and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Research and scholarship
Dr. Nasser's research interests encompass a wide range of pharmacological areas, with a particular focus on cardiovascular and neuro-pharmacology. Her scholarly contributions have resulted in numerous publications in top, peer-reviewed international journals. Her research endeavors continue to push the boundaries of pharmacological knowledge, contributing to advancements in healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences.
Her commitment to enhancing the educational experiences of her students has led to positive outcomes and a lasting impact on their academic and professional development.

Prior to joining Keele University, Dr. Nasser evaluated 1 Master and 12 PharmD theses and, she supervised 1 Master and 5 Pharm D degree students.
With her expertise and commitment to maintaining the quality of scholarly publications, Dr. Nasser also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for esteemed international journals in the field of pharmacology.
Dr. Nasser has completed her PGCert in August 2023.
