Keele University has retained its ranking of No.1 in England for Forensic Science for a third consecutive year, in The Complete University Guide 2022, thanks to excellent graduate prospects, high research intensity, and research quality.
Forensic Science at Keele is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and has a dedicated Crime Scene House that allows students to put the theory into practice, along with the use of state-of-the-art facilities in modern laboratories using industry-standard equipment.
Forensic Science at Keele covers the entire process from the collection of evidence at the crime scene to its presentation in court. Students cover key forensic areas such as genetics, anthropology, toxicology, ballistics and arson, alongside newer fields such as digital forensics.
The Complete University Guide league tables rank UK universities both nationally and in 70 different subject areas. The 70 subject tables are based on five measures (Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, and Graduate Prospects) and include 143 universities, university colleges and specialist higher education institutions.
Dr Richard Darton, Programme Director for Forensic Science, said: "I am delighted that we have retained our No.1 position in England, and this reflects the hard work of both the staff and students on the forensic science programmes at Keele."
