Julia Farrington

Biography

Within my role as a clinical midwife, I worked within vastly different healthcare organisations. During my employment at a District General Hospital, I developed my skills in a range of secondary care settings. I worked within a multidisciplinary team involving professionals with expertise in neonatal care, medicine and general surgery. I then progressed to work in a tertiary centre to obtain invaluable experience on a broader and more specialist scale. This expanded my experience as I networked with professionals who hold specialist expertise in areas that I am particularly interested in, including perinatal mental health and high risk midwifery care. I completed my MSc in Maternal and Reproductive Health and have Fellowship status of the HEA.
