Nicola Grocott

Biography

Nicola started her career as a renal nurse within an acute in-patient renal ward. She moved on to critical care at a major trauma and tertiary centre in 2012, where she worked as a senior sister. It here that she was awarded a Bachelor of Science, First-class honours in Critical Care, Clinical Practice. Nicola is a CISM practitioner and and qualified Professional nurse advocate

In 2022 Nicola joined Keele University's clinical practice teaching fellow team played a role in design and facilitating simulated practice learning for nursing students. Nicola's current role within the School of Nursing and Midwifery is clinical skills lecture and clinical practice module lead for part 2 of the programme. Nicola has successfully completed the PGCert in Higher Education Teaching and is passionate about improving student learning and education though innovative teaching.
