Vanessa Shaw

Biography

Vanessa joined the Keele University School of Nursing team as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing in September 2021. She previously spent 10 years facilitating palliative and end of life care training in various roles before teaching at UCLAN as a Nurse Lecturer in Adult Nursing from 2020. Vanessa has led and been involved in numerous training projects to support nurses, AHP’s, paramedics, volunteers and medical staff. Most of Vanessa's clinical background is in palliative and end of life care roles within the community and acute sectors. She has specific interests in communication skills at all levels including being an advanced communication skills trainer.
