Information for parents and guardians

Congratulations - we hope you're feeling proud to be the parent or guardian of a soon-to-be Keele student! Please have a look at the pages below for your guide to student life at Keele University.

If you're looking for information to help them prepare, staff from our Residence Life and Student Experience and Support teams will be delivering a pre-arrival information session for parents on Wednesday 4th September at 6pm. The teams will cover what you and they can expect on arrival and how we support our students throughout their time at Keele. Join the meeting here.

If you're the parent/guardian of a student who is still applying to different universities, you might find this information more helpful.

Starting university is a significant point in anyone's life and we understand that you'll want to help your child settle in as quickly as possible. These web pages are packed with helpful hints and tips to enable you to support their journey with us.

New students have their own set of online Welcome resources to enable them to prepare. Please encourage them to:

  • Browse our Welcome web pages for all the information students need to know
  • Follow Keele University on FacebookTwitter and Instagram to stay updated on the latest news and events
  • Download the Keele App - this is where they'll get information about virtual and in-person events, as well as access to their academic timetable, and much more
  • Check their new Keele email address regularly
  • Complete the induction module to familiarise themselves with all the services, tools and platforms they'll use as a Keele student

How you can help them make the most of the few weeks before studies begin.

How you can continue helping, from near or afar.

How we keep our community safe.

An introduction to the services available to all our students.

Keep track of key dates like term, assessment, and vacation periods, and know how to get in touch.
