Keele University Still No.1 for Student Satisfaction
"We are thrilled that Keele students have again rated the University so highly in the National Student Survey." Vice-Chancellor, Professor Trevor McMillan.
Keele University has been crowned 1st for Student Satisfaction amongst Universities in the UK for the second consecutive year, in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2015.
Feedback from Keele's undergraduate final year students found them to be most happy with well-organised and intellectually stimulating courses, and lecturers being available when needed, good at explaining things and enthusiastic about what they are teaching. Students also gave excellent ratings to the availability and quality of library, learning and IT resources.
The University's overall satisfaction score is an impressive 95%, far exceeding the national average of 86%. This result underlines Keele's ongoing commitment to student experience, having ranked in the top 10 for 5 years, and topping the table in both 2014 and 2015.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Trevor McMillan: "We are thrilled that Keele students have again rated the University so highly in the National Student Survey. Excellence in teaching and learning continues to be of paramount importance; however the ongoing drive to provide a high quality student experience and value for money underlines this. We want our graduates to continue to be in the top 10 for employability, strengthen our highly rated community environment and delivery fantastic courses that are intellectually stimulating."
Keele's score was higher than Manchester, Birmingham, Warwick and Loughborough, and surpasses both Bath and St Andrews, with whom Keele was level with in 2014, coming level with only the University of Buckingham this year.
KeeleSU are delighted to announce our National Student Survey (NSS) Results for 2014/15. The survey asks final year undergraduates to complete a series of questions relating to their satisfaction with Keele University.
We are thrilled to announce that KeeleSU received 86% overall satisfaction, placing us 6th in the country. KeeleSU is also proud to announce that the overall satisfaction of students studying here places Keele University 1st in the country for overall student satisfaction.
Craig Heath (KeeleSU President) commented: “The results this year demonstrate Keele University’s commitment to providing an exceptional student experience and reflects the hard work that both Keele University and KeeleSU have devoted to ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding the needs of students. It is also a clear reflection on the fantastic services offered at KeeleSU, from ASK and the Jobshop, to Activities and Volunteering, along with the commercial outlets of our catering and award winning bars. KeeleSU is the biggest employer of student staff on campus and we have huge levels of engagement, with over 3,000 students involved in our 160+ societies, and 1,500 across 36 sports clubs. I am looking forward to working with the University to ensure that we continue to improve students’ academic experience even further."
