Biography
I am a health psychology researcher with a particular interest in addressing the high incidence of CVD and type 2 diabetes among South Asian people. My research also addresses health inequalities experienced by this group. In particular, I am interested in promoting healthy lifestyles among Sikh people and investigating how we can support places of worship to support their community’s health. Using psychological models of behaviour change, I develop and evaluate religiously and culturally tailored interventions to improve health.
