Biography

Dr Harriet Dymond is a HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist, with both applied and research experience in a wide range of forensic subdivisions. She has worked in secure and community forensic environments, providing assessment, therapy, consultancy and training for service attendees and staff within both the public and private sectors. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Dymond has continuously worked in higher education; lecturing and supervising students (and trainee psychologists) across undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts. Dr Dymond's academic career has centred around those with a sexual interest in children and sexual offending of various types, with particular reference to creating and improving services with a total prevention focus. She has published empirical papers and book chapters within this area and is continuing to contribute to the literature base. At present, Dr Dymond serves as Programme Lead for the MSc Forensic Psychology at Keele University and is Treatment Manager at The Aurora Project within the Safer Living Foundation; a charity aimed at reducing the instance of and harm caused by sexual offending.
